winter wanders: an estonian knitting retreat
I was so excited to go on this trip to Estonia and it exceeded my expectations! The other travelers and Fiber Ambassadors were wonderful, and I loved learning about traditional crafts from the remarkable women who are working to restore these after Soviet repression.

wool & wonders of iceland
It exceeded my expectations! The itinerary was thoughtfully prepared and fiber ambassadors were super, along with Barbara our driver! We covered alot of geography and learned alot about the people and history of Iceland while still hitting the marks on fiber. A wonderful variety on fiber-class given by a local professor, sheep herding, yarn mill, spinning, weaving, knitting and don't forget shopping! It was a wonderful trip and included such a nice variety of people interested in fiber arts, all were very welcoming!

midsummer knitting in norway with starlight knitting society
Our trip to Norway was the trip of a lifetime! The destination, food and community we created were all spectacular. Rowan Tree planned and executed everything in such a great way that this truly felt like a vacation and we could sit-back, knit, and enjoy the view of the fjords.

wool & wonders of iceland with longmont yarn shoppe
My first visit to Iceland & it has been amazing! An excellent mix of fiber-related activities and cultural activities. And we got to see the aurora borealis on 4 or 5 different nights!!

ireland through the maker's lens with yarn vt
This was my first tour and it was a fabulous experience. I enjoyed everyday from beginning to end. The other travelers in the group were wonderful. I will definitely look into booking another tour in the future.

wool & whisky
So enjoyed this tour. The whisky portion appealed to my husband so we both got to indulge our passions together. Each day offered excellent and ample food, sights to see and time to relax on our own. A perfect and well proportioned mix.

flax to fabric, sheep to shawl: northern ireland & donegal
Meeting with local fiber ambassadors really makes you learn and feel a part of the country you’re visiting. And of course the yarn shopping!

barcelona knits & beyond: a surreal knitting adventure in catalonia
Rowan Tree Travel did a wonderful job creating a dynamic and fun trip in Catalonia. It was a fantastic blend of fiber arts, culture, and amazing food! I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in visiting Spain with a wonderful group of people. The ambassadors on the trip are fabulous. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

oaxaca through the lens of la guelaguetza
We had a great time in Oaxaca, Mexico, with Rowan Tree Travel and their ambassadors. Tours gave us a cultural experience on wool/fiber and food that delivered on the expectations we had. This is our second tour with RTT and both have given us lifetime memories.

cotswolds walking holiday
I was delighted by the Cotswold Walking Holiday experience and had to pinch myself every time I walked through a sheep pasture and fields of wildflowers in the English countryside. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and the camaraderie of other fiber enthusiasts made the experience even more enjoyable. My guide and the local fiber ambassador were kind, knowledgeable and took every measure to make our trip memorable. I am definitely doing this again!

winter wanders: an estonian knitting retreat
What struck me the most were the relationships that were formed with our inlay workshop teachers. They were so warm and welcoming and helpful and also so very proud of the work they do to preserve Estonian crafts and techniques. I hope to see them again.

woolen wales
THIS is the way to travel! Let RTT take care of the details while you can sit back and enjoy the visit. Loads of time to visit wool/yarn/hobby related fun stops while not missing out on the local highlights either! Everyone on the trip was wonderful and I went home with not only a brand new suitcase full of fun future projects, but also a heart (and social media) full of new friends!
