I’ve taken several trips with Rowan tree. The planning, execution of same has gotten better with each trip. Smoother and more refined. in each excursion the focus remains on kindness and genuine connections between travelers and hosts. I’ve always gone away knowing there are so many good folk around the world.

My first knitting tour, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Guides were well prepared, accommodations in local inns were charming, even if they didn’t always have all the modern amenities ( like elevators). Would definitely consider another trip with Rowan Tree.

I have traveled twice with Rowan Tree Travel. On both occasions I found the head of the trip was very helpful and knowledgeable, and friendly. The accommodations have always been lovely, clean, and comfortable. I love having the opportunity to learn about the country and their crafting. Always a great time with good people.

This was my second trip with Rowan Tree and I have another one booked. Found a safe way to travel with other enthusiastic knitters.

The group of participants was just the right size and everyone was friendly. I had a wonderful time. I enjoyed seeing Snowshill. That was a unique travel stop that I might not have chosen to go to on my own, but it was so interesting and quirky. The Hidcote gardens inspired me to work a little harder on my gardens at home. And, the Giffords Circus couldn't have been any more fun. Then there was the spa/baths, soooo relaxing. What else am I not remembering? I enjoyed it all. The Abbey, Roman Baths, the ruins, the churches, we covered a lot of tourist attractions along with our hiking. However great the touring was, the hiking and scenery were at the top of my list of reasons why I liked the tour.

I had never been on a package tour before, and was a bit apprehensive about not being in control of my holiday. With this tour, I was offered experiences that I would not have even thought of. It was a wonderful balance of history and contemporary life, through the lense of artisanship . A true celebration of human creativity. There was enough free time included for choosing our own activities too.

This trip to Norway was a wonderful experience from start to finish. It was very nicely balanced with great regional food, authentic accommodations, interesting guides, fantastic excursions and organizers who were genuinely concerned about the participants. I would definitely travel with Rowen Tree Travel again and also recommend it to others.

Another well run, small group fiber tour. Loved it!

This is a must do fiber tour! We saw so much of beautiful New Zealand and so many sheep! The workshops were fantastic, and being able to go to Hobbiton was incredible. I would recommend the WETA workshop and the aquarium in Auckland. The Middlehurst sheep station was a true highlight of the tour. But it wasn't just about fiber, we saw some truly interesting places like Zealandia, the blue penguins, the albatross nesting place, and the Giants House. And be sure to take an extra bag to bring home all the goodies you will find.

I'm so pleased to have been able to do this walking trip and to have observed the lovely countryside and historical context of this area. It was fabulous.

Rowan Tree provided us with carefully orchestrated event planning, excellent food choices and hotels. Hosts were aware that some of us did not fancy long walks loaded down with yarn purchases, and made transportation easy and reliable. They really went above and beyond to be sure we had a lovely week.
