I've had the absolute pleasure of traveling with Rowan Tree to both Ireland and Scotland, and I can confidently say their tours are top notch! Each trip was a beautifully woven tapestry of fiber arts, history, and heartfelt connection. In Scotland, I was introduced to incredible small-scale artisans whose work and stories left a lasting impression. This was a wonderful way to travel with my daughter & explore Scotland. Visits to small sheep/goat farms and meet the passionate folks who tend these flocks & produce beautiful yarn, was definitely a high light. It was lovely to meet fellow travellers as well as the friendly locals. I would highly recommend Rowan Tree Tours.

This tour satisfied my curiosity about the Shetland Islands with a variety of cultural and historical activities with local knowledgeable guides. The knitting was fun, but so was meeting local knitters, seeing LOTS of Fair Isle knitting and of course shopping the incredible iconic Shetland wool. The accommodations and food were excellent. We even met some wonderful local musicians. Couldn’t ask for more.

A fantastic trip all around! I look forward to more trips, more friendships, and more adventures in yarn. I’m so glad I discovered Rowan Tree!!!!

A truly wonderful exploration of Sardinian culture, history and fiber arts!. The mix of educational and hands-on activities is terrific with the bonus of mixing with local artisans, chefs, farmers/vintners and our special fiber designer. Highly recommended if you enjoy being off the tourist track in a beautiful country with ancient traditions.

I have been on several Rowan Tree Tours and they have all been fantastic. I love the balance of group time and time to explore or relax on my own. The accommodations and restaurants are chosen with care. And, the balance of fiber, culture and history are also managed perfectly. I am so glad I found this company to travel with.

The Norway trip was a fantastic dive into Norwegian culture, history and landscape. The variety of experiences were phenomenal, train rides, ferry rides, living museums, yarn factories, and workshops were complemented by the outstanding cuisine options and charming accommodations.

Rowen Tree was my first experience with a tour group and they have made a customer for life. I am already looking for new trips to take with them. With Heather, Sydney and Tasha this wasn't just a vacation this was a family trip with the family you always wanted to have. 12/10 would recommend.

I have taken two tours with RTT, both to the UK. Rowan Tree and their Fiber Ambassadors think of everything! They really have our best experience possible in mind when they are planning and scheming a wonderful tour for us! From the accommodations to the food and overall location, everything has always been thought of. I am really looking forward to my next tour with Rowan Tree in February of 2026!

A wonderful tour expertly guided by our Fiber Ambassadors Suzie and Helen. At several points during the tour they gave us suggestions and the opportunity to modify the tour by adding/ subtracting activities if we needed downtime or wanted to see something special. They were both extremely knowledgeable and very patient with our group in terms of special needs and accommodations. Attention to details of the trip were exceptional, communication was constant, and questions were always welcome.

Colleen and Mary were delightful, kind and very informative to work with. It was so lovely to be surrounded by fellow knitters who share the common interest of knitting and fiber. I felt as though I had died and gone to heaven. Thank you for the wonderful time and I certainly hope to travel again with you some day- soon!
