I had a great time. My roommate was a lovely person. I loved the places we visited.,our chaperones, the hotels, all of it.The only negative thing about the trip was the bus ride to and from airport in Boston. . ( no connection to rowan tree so will figure out another plan for next trip)

The Rowan Tree Travel Wool and Whiskey Tour EXCEEDED my expectations! Exceptional accommodations, interesting and informative cultural experiences, combined with access to fiber and craft professionals made for a memorable trip to Scotland. Highly recommend this trip and travel professionals.

going to Ireland in September with Rowan Tree and the Longmont Yarn Shoppe and seeing Ireland through history and fiber eyes was such a treat. Thanks, Suzie and Gail, our fearless leaders. The best part of the trip were the extraordinary accomodation in historical houses and inns that were wonderfully accomodating and filled with beauty and history. Thanks!

I had a great time on the Wool & Whisky tour. I was very impressed with the quality of the accommodations and the food included with the tour. The organizers struck the right balance of activity and downtime. Both tour guides were warm, wonderful ladies. There were some challenges to be sure, most notably that several ladies became ill on the trip, but it was handled with Scottish aplomb - mask up and carry on. I would not hesitate to recommend Rowan Tree Travel to any of my friends who want a fiber vacation, and I will definitely be traveling with them again in the future!

Amazing trip! There were a few bumps (Covid), but everything was handled wonderfully. I loved it and would recommend it whole-heartedly!

My trip to Iceland with Rowan Tree Travel was fantastic. I loved how much of Iceland we got to see and the wide variety of activities, especially the knitting related ones, we got to experience. The tour guides were excellent, helping everything to run smoothly as well as providing extensive information about Iceland. Being with a small group was great. We had lots of laughs and time to relax and knit together. I give my trip a 10/10. I can't wait for the next trip!

The trip was fantastic every day, every activity and everyone on board!!!!! We were all so happy with Suzie leading us, and especially grateful for Anna travelling with us (and the amazing weather). It was impossible to stump or annoy Anna with any topic or questions! She is so articulate, knowledgeable, fun, and endearing. Hold onto her! The only things I would have added, are: Another day to ferry from the north coast to Grimsey island, for a day tour. Then we could have crossed the Arctic Circle, gotten a glimpse of life on that remote island, possibly seen whales, and lots of birds. I would have liked another two days to see more of the Southwest, and gone birding or looking for wildlife... maybe a puffin sighting for Suzie - lol! I'd be happy to pay for adding those 3 days... I don't think there was anything we did, anywhere we visited, nor any meal we feasted on that I would leave out! I felt so fortunate to have a workshop with the talented (and patient) Auour Bjort Skuladottir! That said, the group would have been more successful if we have been given directions beforehand on how to knit the body up to where we join the sleeves, so we could work the yoke during class, which is the essential design element of the sweater. In addition, if we'd been given specifics on methods for knitting tiny sleeves, and options for techniques and the needles we needed, ie: whether we wanted to work/learn magic loop, 2 long circs, or double points, and to bring those already knitted in the correct size. We spent too much time focusing on that because it was confusing and above the level of many of the knitters. It was great to get Auour's book, Lopi yarn, and learn about her journey in knitting Lopapeysas that lead her to a MA! Another top notch tour with Rowan Tree! I am hoping for trip #3 to Ireland! With gratitude

This trip took us to the most wonderful fiber events and makers. We saw many different types of yarn, fiber, finished objects, sheep and all the people who made and tended them. In addition, the castles, gardens, cultural tours, hotels and food were fantastic. The trip leaders were charismatic, helpful, resourceful, organized and knowledgeable. The whole trip was wonderful. Thanks!!
