fabulous fiber & foliage in new hampshire
RTT is an excellent tour company which offers a unique experience - travel both domestic and international through the knitter's eyes. You'll meet people who shear, raise sheep and other fiber animals, process and spin the wool, dye the wool, and knit. You will have opportunities to ask questions, touch, and interact with the sheep, dogs, owners, and other knitters. You will walk through the fields, barns, yarn shops and stands, and around towns not usually on traditional tours. Every skein I bought and brought home has a story (either about the farm, the owner, the breed, or the specific animal). Being around other fiber enthusiasts also has an energy of it's own. RTT is the way to travel.

Superb overall experience. Great combination of knitting workshops, fiber leaders in country, cultural insights, fellowship and new friends

This trip went above and beyond my expectations. You feel like you are traveling with family. I would not hesitate to book another trip with RTT. Just do it!

Although I haven't knit in a very long time (r/t arthritis and frustration), I was intrigued by the weaving, purchased a pin loom during our trip and had it shipped home. Hope to find a nearby class to begin learning. Our entire trip was an inspiration!

I have travel extensively through the years. This tour did exactly what it said it would do and the tour guide, Susie, made the tour. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Truly the best.

It was a wonderful trip. Audrey and Colleen were great guides on our journey to see the lovely sheep, foliage, lakes and yarn. Mustn't forget the yarn. The Squam Lake boat ride was the non-fiber highlight and the sheep shearing was definitely the fiber highlight.

My sister Bettie and I love Rowan Tree tours! The 4 we have been on have never disappointed. The participants are amazing and we always bonded immediately and had lots of fun together. The guides and fiber ambassadors are extremely knowledgeable and supportive of the activities...and tho we were never knitters before, we LEARNED to knit in Ireland, our most recent tour!

wool & whisky: late fall edition
This was the first tour I have ever been on. I've travelled extensively but usually on my own with no theme in mind other than touring. This tour included the main sites of Scotland available in late fall and I thought it was super overall.... Lots to do, lots to see, lots to enjoy. I was not as gifted a knitter as many others but I made some new friends, learned new skills and fell in love with knitting once again.

This was my first trip with Rowan Tree Travel, and I never could have expected that it would have such a positive impact on me. The incredible cultural experiences and visits, coupled with the meaningful connections I was able to make with my fellow travelers, made this experience invaluable and truly set the bar for any tour I go on in the future. I'd recommend this to anyone seeking new friendships, rich history, and an opportunity to explore the world.

christmas markets of switzerland, the black forest & alsace
This tour met my hopes for it - a chance to visit lots of Christmas markets with like minded people, meeting fellow knitters, a congenial group, a chance to see and learn about a part of the world new to me -
