silver screen fashions: sydney & tasha take hollywood!

The Silver Screen Fashions tour was my first Rowan Tree Travel tour, and it won't be my last. Each day was a unique experience paired with good food and even better company. I traveled to the tour alone, but immediately connected with the other attendees. We shared our passions for knitting, sewing, crocheting and other niche interests while touring the museums of Hollywood and walking the decks of the Queen Mary. I travelled alone and returned with lasting memories and friendships.

textiles & treasures of india: jaipur edition

This was my first time in India and it was a great experience. I would love to go back to see and experience more if the southern part of the country. This has been my 2nd tour with Rowan Tree and it has been amazing.

ireland through the maker's lens with starlight knitting society

I'd never been on a group tour before, but the quality and experiences on this particular tour surpassed my expectations, and I would definitely do another tour with Rowan Tree. I learned so much! Excellent balance of workshops, informational talks and visits to local traditional artisans. I loved the variety of accommodations, the pace of things (we were busy! but also lots of knitting time). Our fiber ambassadors complemented each other's strengths and were both fantastic at their jobs and with the information they provided.

wool & whisky

Rowan Tree's Wool & Whisky tour lives up to its name! From furry animals to the yarn they produce, wool is the main attraction. Farmers & artisans lovingly shared their wooly expertise. And the whisky - food pairings were phenomenal.

knitting our way through england

I highly recommend traveling with Rowan Tree Travel. The trips are very unique and you go off the beaten path. Great care goes into planning the itineraries and making them special. The Fiber Ambassadors are fantastic and knowledgeable. Knitting Our Way Through England is such a special trip with everything tying into a vintage theme. Just superb! Nothing better than sitting in a beautiful pasture with wonderful people and literally snuggling with sheep....under an old, massive tree. Absolutely fantastic!

wool, walks & whisky with stix yarn

Rowan Tree Travel fulfilled this yarn-obsessed knitters dream come true with their Wool and Whisky tour in Scotland. I usually travel on my own, but this tour far exceeded my expectations. We were immersed in all-things-yarn for ten days in beautiful Scotland. Attention to culturally rich experiences along with fabulous food and yarn-buying opportunities galore made this trip memorable. The land, the sea, the Highlands, the historic mills, the truly dedicated local artisan producers and crafters all contributed to this trip of a lifetime. The accommodations were charming and first-rate, as was the food, and the whisky! Rowan Tree Travel's Fiber Ambassadors are the perfect guides on this fiber tour.

silver screen fashions: sydney & tasha take hollywood!

This was my very first trip with Rowan Tree Travel and it did not disappoint! Tour hosts Heather and Sydney went above and beyond to make every single participant feel welcomed and comfortable and cared for. The travel itinerary was very well planned out, and included a good amount of rest/down time as well as free time for all. I absolutely will sign up for other such trips, and highly recommend these to anyone who enjoys a vacation of knitting combined with cultural events.
