squidney knits in corfu: a vintage odyssey in greece

Rowan Tree Travel continues to do a great job at showing us niche cultures and crafts in real life and balances it well with beautiful sights, delicious food and wonderful people, while making us feel free and looked after at the same time.

An adventure of a lifetime!!! So many things to do and see and experience. The tour was thoughtfully prepared with a variety for all the senses. Our guides worked hard to keep us on track and informed, and made the tour most enjoyable. It was nice to have social time together and time to have alone to reflect and rest.

This was the third trip that we sponsored through Rowan Tree Travel. We have never been disappointed in their wonderful trips. They have the best fiber ambassadors one could ask for. And the accommodations are always fantastic. I highly recommend them for any fiber travel.

Rowan Trees tours are so well curated. They have a thorough understanding of their travelers and what is important to us. The accommodations, food, and activities are well planned. Every stop and activity was so interesting that it’s hard to pick a favorite.

I’d recommend Rowan Tree to anyone. Great people, great places, great art, great food. What more does a traveler need?

If you are a fiber person, Rowan Tree Travel tours should be on your bucket list. The tour guides are incredibly knowledgeable and warm. The activities are varied and interesting. The accommodations are lovely and unique. The other travelers are curious and wonderful to explore with. I have been on two different tours and loved them both.

It's a perfect combination of rest, sightseeing and crafting. Small group on a ship of our own made me feel like on luxorious family vacation. Fiber Ambassadors, the crew and tour guides are very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this trip!

Wow; what a way to experience Scotland - sites, culture & exceptional hospitality. From petting Angora goats to learning about ancient sheep breeds, to hearing bagpipes & learning all about whiskey, this tour has it all. And you still find time to adopt some new fiber to feed your stash!

This trip to the Borders of Scotland showed us the rich and diverse history of the country from the Scottish Tapestry to the historical castles, and Scottish arts - from tartan and kilt making to cashmere and whiskey production. There was always knitting/fiber arts time planned, so it was very relaxing and pleasant. Day trips from Abbotsford Castle and Gardens make this the best RTTF trip, which I have been on. Cathy S.

Such a unique and interesting trip! I felt like we went to so many islands and got a great taste of Greece. The food on the boat was some of the best food I’ve ever had. Cabin was small, but it was a trade off for an authentic Greek experience. The crew was second to none! I’m ready to return to Greece. Loved it!

The Wales trip with Rowan Tree was an incredible experience. The accommodations were excellent choices due to location, comfort, and level of professionalism of the entire staff. The manor houses are definitely my favorite but the boutique hotels are quite nice also.
The transportation provided is comfortable and our drivers are friendly and extremely helpful.
The places we visited were perfect for fiber enthusiasts like us. Also, we were given the exact amount of time in each place so that we never felt rushed or bored.
The fiber ambassadors couldn’t have been more accommodating or professional. I’ve traveled with Colleen before and found her to be so knowledgeable and just a delightful person. I wish we had been able to spend more time with Liz as she was such fun. Maybe next time.

The Wales tour was a beautiful ride through the countryside with fabulous fiber and yarn and people! I will think of the farmers, mill owners, and dyers as I knit with the lovely wool I have purchased.
