color explosion of oaxacan culture & folk artists

I cannot say enough nice things about Rowan Tree Travel and my trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. The accommodations were lovely, the food delicious, the sights and learning fantastic, and our guides exceptional.

The Creative Musings Retreat was balm for the soul. Discovering more about one’s journey in creativity was enlightening and enriching. Taos and the Mabel Dodge Luhan House were the perfect backdrop for the experience.

This was a wonderful week, filled with lovely women, thought-provoking discussions, and special cultural experiences. I am so glad I came and look forward to more trips with Rowan Tree.

Amazing retreat in a magical place. Workshops had great exercises, well timed, and left plenty of time on our own. Didn't need to be a knitter at all for this retreat. Day trips were so informative, and we would have never found these places on our own. Such a wonderfully curated experience.

barcelona knits & beyond: a surreal adventure w with sisterhood fibres

This was my first tour with Rowan Tree Travel. My trip was to Barcelona Knits. Our group was fantastic; we met as strangers but we left as fiber friends. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour and Rowan Tree Travel. Yvonne F.

[T]hese are value laden trips. They live up to their advertisements but always add more. Care about people is their hallmark. Both people on the trip and people in the communities [visited]
There is an internal integrity from start to finish. Help is offered when needed but the assumption is that one can manage certain aspects of an adventure on ones own.

New Mexico has so much to offer. The history, culture and landscape in the Taos area were top notch.

Every time I have traveled with Rowan Tree I feel like I have found my Tribe of Women! Every trip has been fun and adventurous and full of fiber! I get to meet others with the same passions as me and leave with new friends who I still communicate with years later. The historical sites we visit, food we eat, accommodations where we stay, workshops where we learn new crafts - it all is great fun and enriching! I can't wait for my next travel adventure!

winter wanders: amsterdam & beyond

The Amsterdam Woolly Wanderers took me to a part of the world I had never been, where I got to pet sheep, squish yarn and enjoy some world class museums. I particularly enjoyed the workshops and Texel island. Our fiber ambassadors were warm, welcoming and kept things on track. I look forward to taking another Rowan Tree Travel tour.

wool & whisky with wandering ewes

We had a wonderful taste of Scotland in 10 short days. The hotels and manor homes were warm and comfortable. We were exposed to several different regions, each with their own unique offerings, from high tea at the Balmoral hotel, to a cuddle with Cashmere goats along the coast of the North Sea. We experienced fiber and textiles in all stages of creation. The food was delicious and varied. We learned a bit about the history and the current state of the government and how the royals live. A fabulous trip all around!
