An Ionian Knitting Odyssey in Greece
I have traveled twice with Rowan Tree Travels and each time was a wonderfully curated experience with local experiences and cultural anchors. Rowan Tree provides care, consideration, and respect to the people and places we visit and to the travel participants. I treasure my trips!

Barcelona Knits & Beyond: A Surreal Knitting Adventure in Catalonia
Barcelona Knits greatly exceeded my expectations! The many cultural tours were excellent with excellent information provided by tour guides. Great camaraderie was achieved by the participants.

Wool & Wonders of New Zealand
A wonderful trip with wonderful people! I had so many unique experiences that I would have never have discovered on my own, and met some real kindred spirits both on the tour and amongst the people we met in New Zealand. Well worth the cost.

Wool & Wonders of Iceland
This is a yarn lover's dream tour, in which you learn all about Icelandic wool and have plenty of opportunity to buy it. It is well paced and balanced with visits to non-yarn related sites and activities so I felt that I experienced Iceland. My non-knitting husband loved the tour, as well.

Midsummer Knitting in Norway with Starlight Knitting Society
Rowan Tree was hands down the best travel tour I’ve done (of any type). Great mix of knitting, yarn, cultural sites, adventure, and yarn shopping. Heather and Sydney were amazing tour leaders. I loved my fellow yarn enthusiast travelers! I’m already dreaming of my next Rowan Tree tour.

Silver Screen Fashions: Sydney & Tasha Take Hollywood!
I joined the Silver Screen Fashions tour alone figuring I would meet kindred spirits and I was not wrong. It was the perfect mix of Old Hollywood history, glamour and niche knitting with 20 new besties. I'm not usually a "tour" person but Rowan Tree Travel trips go to places so specific to my fiber interests that I might not get to explore on my own. Looking forward to going on another trip!

An Ionian Knitting Odyssey
An Ionian Knitting Odyssey was the trip of a lifetime. What a delightful way to explore so much of Greece! Heather is an incredibly organized and passionate Fiber Ambassador who skillfully shepherded us through a whirlwind of unique experiences: learning from a Kefalonian lace expert, exploring Mycenaean palace ruins, meeting the dyer for the trip's knit-a-long yarn, and more.

Thoughtfully-conceived and well-coordinated experience!

Wool & Whisky Late Fall Edition with Sisu Designs
I can't praise the makers of this tour enough. Our experiences were quite varied: we visited castles as well as farms and many places in between, and all were thoroughly enjoyable. Hearing from farmers, dyers, and other members of the textile world in Scotland was inspiring. The tour felt thoughtfully laid out - rich with experiences but laced through with free time to wander, process, knit, and create new friendships. I fell in love with Scotland and with Rowan Tree Travel!

Wool & Wonders of Iceland
I loved every minute of Iceland. Our guide Anna was so knowledgeable about her country and shared all of these facts, sagas and ghost stories with the group . The yarn shops and farm visits provided great shopping trips. The accommodations and meals were way above average and the bus driver was so sweet.
