This year has shaken our country to its foundations, and Covid 19 has left the country feeling helpless and impotent in the face of a global pandemic. But the death of George Floyd has been a wake up call to the nation in this time of enforced isolation that there are still other endemic problems that need solving and that our action is long overdue. Rather than sit home feeling helpless, it is time to heal our nation’s heart, as we wait for the breakthroughs that will protect and heal our bodies.

In this spirit, we invite you to join Rowan Tree Travel in our first ever raffle fundraiser. We have curated three abundant collections from Scotland, Iceland, and northern England. All proceeds from this raffle will be going to the NFC Momentum Fund, an initiative founded by Karida Collins, owner of the Neighborhood Fiber Company in Baltimore, Maryland. The NFC Momentum Fund is accepting tax-deductible donations that will be dispersed to a variety of organizations working for justice, empowerment, and equality. In Karida's words: "At its heart, the Fund will allow me to focus our giving on the areas that need it most. Right now, we are raising money to support protestors in the Black Lives Matter movement. Last month, we donated money to a community organization that is feeding families in Baltimore that have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic."
