Christmas Markets

Bring your needles as we stitch together the Spirits of Christmas Past and Present. Some of the European Christmas Markets trace their beginnings back to the Middle-Ages, and we will experience them in their present day glory, in some of the most picturesque towns of Switzerland, Germany, and France. Our accommodations will include a chateau among the vineyards and two grand villas of the Golden Age, walking distance from the heart and soul of the old town centers. We will have a trunk show of French yarns, participate in a bespoke knitalong project and visit a wool collective in Switzerland, where they make some of the most comfortable duvets and mattresses around. Wassail along with tankards of Gluhwein/Vin Chaud, aka hot mulled wine, following the scent of gingerbread as we meander the stalls of the markets selling holiday crafts you will only find there. We will visit the dairy where Emmental is made and discover how Swiss Cheese got its holes, and have a Swiss Chocolatier show us how their delectable chocolate is made and we will get a chance to make our own. And, you will get to go home with your very own gnome, under the tutelage of a French dollmaker.
