CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations by the participant should be made in writing via email to info@rowantreetravel.com. We understand that unforeseen circumstances arise sometimes and travelers may need to cancel their reservation with Rowan Tree Travel & Fibercraft (RTTF). A related factor in these situations is that the closer we get to a departure date, the greater our losses if cancellations are made, as we are required to make non-refundable deposits or payments in full to our local providers abroad. In order to mitigate these risks we have created a schedule for cancellations and refund levels that is as fair as possible to all parties.

Once you have paid your deposit:

* Up to 14 days after paying deposit: Cancellation for a full refund.

 

After the 14-day grace period has closed:

• Up to 6 months before departure: deposit is non-refundable; you will have the option of transferring to another Rowan Tree Tour and the transfer fee will be waived;

• 6 to 4 months before departure:  40% of trip cost (including the deposit paid) non-refundable; there will be a $500 fee to transfer the non-refundable portion of payments received to an alternate trip; travel credit towards a future Rowan Tree Travel & Fibercraft possible on a case-by-case basis;

• 4 to 2 months before departure: 75% non-refundable; there will be a $500 fee to transfer the non-refundable portion of payments received to an alternate trip; travel credit towards a future Rowan Tree Travel & Fibercraft possible on a case-by-case basis;

• Within 2 months before departure: 100% non-refundable, no transfers.

 

Additionally, if airfare has been purchased through RTTF as part of your tour package and e-tickets have been issued, that portion is only refundable if the airline issues a refund to RTTF.

 

Rowan Tree Travel & Fibercraft cannot be held responsible for the acts, defaults or delay of any hotel, coach, operator, airline, guide, restaurant or any other persons or companies, however caused. RTTF is not responsible for losses in the event of force major, such as natural catastrophes, strikes or other corresponding causes. We also reserve the right to alter routes due to road or weather conditions without prior notice. In the rare cases that there is a double booking or a good reason for moving the guest, we reserve the right to do so by providing similar accommodation or better in the same area.

 

Should Rowan Tree Travel & Fibercraft cancel your tour due to unforeseen circumstances, you will automatically receive a travel credit with us for payments made. Travel credit may be applied toward any RTTF tour for 18 months following your original travel dates.  If unable to travel with us within that time frame, RTTF will work with you to determine the best possible outcome per your circumstances.
